How To Curve Text On Cricut Design App

Today I am going to share one of my favorite Cricut Design Space hacks with you: how to create curved text on your iPhone or iPad!

You may know that you can easily create curved text directly in Cricut Design Space on a desktop but, as of right now, that feature isn't available when using the Design Space app – meaning that if you work on your iPad or iPhone, you're out of luck. Well, sis, I'm going to show you how you can create curved text on your iPad or iPhone, the EASY way!

Let's get started!

First thing first, you'll need to download the free Phonto App.

Open the Phonto App and tap the camera button at the bottom of the screen. Select the "Plain Image" option, then tap the white canvas in the top right corner. Next, tap the Export button (it looks like a small square with an arrow pointing up) in the top right corner of your screen and select the "Use" option.

Tap the screen to add your text and begin typing. You can change the font by tapping the font tab on the bottom left. You will have access to any of your fonts that you have saved on your device.

Once you've added your text, scroll to the right on the menu and select the "Curve" option. Slide the bar left for a downward curve or right for an upward curve.

Once you're happy with your curved text, tap the export button again and select "Save Image".

Now you're ready to upload your design to Cricut Design Space!

Begin by opening Cricut Design Space, tapping the "Upload" option, and choosing "Select from Photo Library". Choose the new image you just exported from Phonto.

Next use the wand tool to clean up your image by tapping away the areas of white in your design.

Select the "Cut Image" option, name your design, and tap save.

And that's it! You've got your curved text imported into Design Space and ready to use!
